What is the difference between Cambridge A level and AS level?

The only difference between AS levels and A levels is that AS levels can be taken as a stand-alone qualification, or as the first part of an A level course. The first level of Alevels is called AS level, the normal duration of which is one year. You study and give exams of two papers, namely, p1 and p2.
